Other Writers: Writers That Influenced and Were Influenced

Blake's Selected Poems (Dover Thrift Editions) by William Blake, David V. Erdman, Virginia Erdman, David Erdman. Blake was one the first beatniks in a completely different time and place. His work oddly enough has the same spirit of those writers many.

Five Decades : A Selection (Poems 1925-1970) by Pablo Neruda (Editor), Ben Belitt (Translator). This is a spectacular book of Pablo Neruda's work. My sister gave me this book and opened my world to this great poet.

John Lennon in His Own Write by John Lennon. The great embodiment of John Lennon's zaniness.

Odes to Common Things by Pablo Neruda, Ferris Cook (Illustrator), Ken Krabbenhoft (Translator). I don't know how this guy does it but he is good at it.

The Art & Music of John Lennon by John Robertson. Lennon summed up pretty well.

All Roots Lead to Rock : Legends of Early Rock and Roll by Colin Escott. Shows how the rock and roll was intertwined with all that was to come for America.

1984 by George Orwell. Orwell forecasts paranoia, destruction, tyranny and some bad stuff for the world in 1984.

Dealers of Lightning: Xerox Parc and the Dawn of the Computer Age by Michael A. Hiltzik. An inspiring tour through the history of one of the most significant think tanks in the history of technology. Every page makes you want to follow your dreams even more.

Dylan: The Life and Music of America's Folk-Rock Icon by Stephen Matteo. This is an excellent book about Bob Dylan.  The author, Stephen Matteo, is a great writer who graduated from my college.

Kafka Was the Rage : A Greenwich Village Memoir by Anatole Broyard. This is a new book about the Beat Generation recommended by Mr. Stephen Matteo.

Electric Kool Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe. A crazy guide through the San Francisco sixties haze.

On the Origin of Species a Facsimile of the First Edition by Charles Darwin A lot of people came down on the revolutionary ideas of Darwin, but it's not about beliefs, it's just a good book.

The Book of Bubba; Poems by Duane Esposito. I met the author of this book when he was shopping at a mall, he is an interesting guy and I recommend this book.
